The Evil Within 2 is a more coherent and purposeful journey, strengthened by its voyage into non-linear level design, while at the same time reinforcing the foundation with which the original’s gameplay often shined through on. That’s not to say the sequel doesn’t throw up a few too many unfair fail states — be it in and out of stealth mode — not to mention the occas... more.

  • Gran Turismo Sport’s HDR Implementation Is Drawing a Lot of Praise

UHD settings are usually to turn on the TV to accept a 4k source that uses HDCP2.2 and is needed whether its HDR or not. Generally the issue is more likely to be with the PS4 Pro's 'Auto' setting for RGB rather than the TV. It seems that this is quite common with the PS4 Pro and not just with Visio TV's so its better to fix this to Full (or limited) and ensure the TV is set to match. I could expl... more.

I gotcha. I just think the devs don't carry that open world philosophy forward throughout the game. After exploring those areas, I had a lot of fun, but had little reasons to return to areas except to unlock a chest or something. Really wanted to see some old areas expand with backtracking. I thought the atmosphere and improved controls were great too, but I actually miss some things like burning... more.
  • Middle-earth: Shadow of War is so big that it’s overwhelming – The Verge

The Verge: "Middle-earth: Shadow of War, the follow-up to 2014’s Shadow of Mordor, is in many ways a prototypical video game sequel. Its main goal is simply to give you more. A vastly larger world, a wider range of weapons and abilities, and more ways to interact with the dark realm of Mordor. It’s bigger in just about every sense of the word. At the same time, it retains much of... more.

FallenAngel1984 15h ago Even Kuja himself is a celebration of the series' villains since he mirrors all the ones that preceded him in various ways. - Both he and the original Garland from Final Fantasy I kidnap a Princess named Sarah, as Sarah is Garnet's real name. - Both he and Emperor Mateus from Final Fantasy II kidnap a woman named Hilda. He also acts quite a bit like him early on. - Both he... more.

is a bloody good fighting game -- one of the best on PlayStation 4, as far as we're concerned -- but its lack of an introductory tutorial has always seemed like an oversight. Without one, newcomers are all but forced to look up guides and videos online in order to fully understand the fundamentals of the combat system. Considering Tekken 7 comes with a full practice mode, complete with massive mo... more.
