Burnout was a lot of fun but I never played the DLC so that is another draw for me. I am not sure about FC5 as it seems to have a relatively large emphasis on co-op and I intend to play it solo. It was the FC3 remaster and interesting and bizarre DLC that eventually persuaded me to pick this up. Both of these, God of War and along with an increasingly large backlog will see me through the Spring/Summer. Metro: Exodus looks like it 'may' arrive in August which could be my next purchase after GoW with Octobers RDR2 the only game so far with a Q4 release.

Obviously death threats are ridiculous, but i see no problem with going on Twitter (which I don't use) and telling these guys what we like or dislike. It's not just there for them to push out announcements and receive praise from fanboys, after all.
Also, consider the times get have changed for the better because of the very vocal backlash from gamers. Star wars is the most recent example, but remember when Driveclub wanted to take the full game away if you upgraded from the (half assed) Plus version and let your Plus sub run out? Gamers were mad and let them know about it. It's necessary.
I know people can go too far and often do, but not all complaining is bad. Hell, it's not even complaining a lot of times. It's voicing your opinion and letting the companies know what's ok to do and what's not.

@Yowza
I think selling half of what the original game did despite more consoles being in homes had more to do with some of EA's decisions regarding SWBF 2 than the complaining did. Simply not making the purchase has been and always will be the most effective way to get the message across. It's certainly much more effective than jumping to conclusions over a freaking blurry picture like was the case here but that's how ridiculous gamers have become these days and is why, among other reasons, this industry will continue to not be taken seriously.

@Gamer83 EA took the MTX before the game even released, so no, it wasn't because of sales, it was because of backlash from the community.
Simply not buying a game isn't as effective as not buying it and ALSO telling them exactly why. When Batman Arkham Knight revealed how much crap was locked behind an expensive season pass, I emailed the devs telling them they lost a customer and cancelled my pre-order.

I also don't care if video games are taken seriously by outside entities. I certainly don't need their validation to enjoy them. I just don't want to get ripped off in the process.

Ah, man! I was looking forward to buying a color palette exchange for Kratos’s tattoos or some different beard styles for $1.99 each. Maybe some hairstyles? An alternate weapon for Kratos like a Keyblade or some hidden retracting assassin’s blades? A $4.99 optional side quest where Kratos can hunt down the golden Chocobo? Look at the monetization opportunities Santa Monica is leaving on the table! 😉

@YeYa Never liked the game-play or the stupid 'mini' games. Don't like reading dialogue because I don't understand Japanese and not overly interested in Japanese culture either.

Earlier today, rumours suggesting that God of War may have microtransactions started to spread. Said rumours were based on a very blurry, angled photograph of an in-game menu which supposedly showed two types of currency at the top right of the screen. Inconclusive to say the least.
