Posted by on January 10, 2017 under News
In a lot of ways Telltale Games have sort of made their name on the back of The Walking Dead. The AMC television/Image comics series that is famous for its uncompromising cynicism, and unyielding brutality of the face of humanity amid a zombie apocalypse, has lent itself especially well to the sort of story-centric, choose-your-own-adventure style of genre that Telltale has inadvertently created ... more.
  • Scalebound’s Cancellation Highlights Xbox One’s Poor 2017 Lineup

Posted by on January 10, 2017 under News
deafdani 36m ago It's not like the Xbox 360 was any different, really. This is the reason why I didn't buy a Xbox One this gen, because my experience with the 360 left much to be desired. I bought a 360 mainly for Mass Effect, Limbo, Super Meat Boy and 'Splosion Man. Mass Effect and Limbo eventually came out for PS3, SMB eventually came out for Wii U and PS4. That only left me with 'Splosion Man.... more.
  • Microsoft Needs To Improve Their Relations With Japanese Game Developers

Posted by on January 10, 2017 under News
Genuine-User 2h ago(Edited 20m ago) I'll be absolutely furious If platinum goes bust because of Microsoft's mismanagement. Edit: for those questioning why I put the blame on Microsoft? Well it's because the relative 'evidence' suggests that MS handled the project rather poorly; they set ridiculous milestones with poor funding and even withholding pay. As for Platinum going bust: "a significa... more.
  • Final Fantasy XV Ships Over 6 Million Copies, Digital Sales Included

Posted by on January 10, 2017 under News
@Boerewors "The 10 million mark they need to hit is based on the sales of full priced games;" If they wanted to sell 10 mil at "full price" then they shouldn't have released it over the holidays, everything goes on sale over the holidays. And they also shouldn't have released it on Xbox One. From what I saw the Xbox version was being discounted first, PS4 version days later. N... more.

Anyway, one aspect that we're eager to hear more about is the title's multiplayer offering. As regular readers will know, this particular scribe was a massive fan of the third game's co-op component, so we're happy to report that An... more.

  • Mass Effect: Andromeda Throws Possibility of Season Pass Out the Airlock

Posted by on January 10, 2017 under News
Companies are out to make money, and the way they can do that is to maintain a loyal user base for future titles. Any company that fails this basic concept (and tries to milk their user base), gets called out and avoided. This doesn't happen very often because the bad PR they get for this kind of behavior can stick around for awhile and have a dramatic impact on not only the sales of that particu... more.

In an interview with Famitsu, translated by , director Hajime Tabata spews a whole load of stuff about the developer's post-release plans. To start with, Tabata mentions that the team is currently working on "improving the scale and comfort" of the title's latter chapters, which are much more linear than the game's earlier sandbox escapades. What this actually means could be anyone's gu... more.
