Video Game Walkthrough Guide coming to WDS!
Wii Walkthrough Guides and Review
See before you buy Virtual video goodness
Making Virtual Console purchasing decisions just got that little bit easier thanks to the set of preview videos now available on the Wiis official website. These are just the thing for telling the good, the bad and the plain ol ugly apart when choosing how to get your nostalgia fix.
With the range of available titles getting ever wider, its nice to at least get the chance to see the games in action before spending those hardearned Wii Points. What do you think of the service? Anyone been sold on, or reconsidered, a download after seeing the video?
If youre thinking of doing some virtual shopping, dont forget to check out our Monday roundups, for a critical take on the latest releases.
Wii Warm Up: Yeah, thats the ticket (5/06/2007)
Buzzbuilding booklet (5/05/2007)
Mario Strikers Charged dribbling ever closer (5/05/2007)
New listings for The Sims: Castaway Stories on Wii and DS (5/05/2007)
Reader Comments (Page 1) 1. This service has been around for a long time now. Ill actually check that site out if I dont see the new releases announced here first on Monday mornings. And yes, they have helped me make VC purchases.

3. How big of a fortune would Big N make if they released a VC store for DS? All theyd have to do is sell a cart with a wifi interface and a couple gigs of storage.
Or even if they started selling GB, GBC, and GBA games for the Wii VC. the GBA games look better than the original Nintendo games do, so it cant be just because theyd look ugly. Zelda Oracle of Season and Oracle of Ages would be great additions to my VC collection.

4. Does this mean www.wiivcdb.com is useless now? ;)

5. Although this is an excellent addition, and much needed given the lack of VC demos, it woud be better if Nintendo concentrated on the 50Hz output over component cable problem, so people in Europe could actually play something other than TurboGrafix games, which would mean increased sales.

6. Yeah, we desperatly need 60Hz TV mode. Seems lazy and inconsiderate of Nintendo to dump a now outdated TV format onto their newest console as an unchangeable default for the menus and VC.
@3: Well, considering the biggest card size is about 128mb in size, a few gigs maybe just a bit of a step. Then again SDMicro has pushed 2GB for ages now... Dont see why Nintendo cant do the same with cards 45x the size of an SDmicro... But whatever, I would go for DS download content over Wiis (like a Wii Download Station or something.) also, Ill wait for a shop update where these videos are streamed over the shop channel instead of going to a website (even if its just switching to the Internet Channel)
