The game itself looks crisp, clean and funny, like what I'd expect from the 3D toting animated film. We can't wait to play through it to get the best game strategy guide for our members. (We are suckers for these cartoon based games, since it's an excuse to go to the theater and watch them first.)
Along with handling all the impossible missons you'll see in the theater on your nextgen console, we'd like to point out how funny it actually will turn out to be. Now I know most of these games seem like a Saturday morning cartoon, but they want 10buck ticket prices PLUS the cost of 3D glasses at the local cinema. But Planet 51 is a comedy from the writer of "Shrek" and "Shrek 2", the story revolves around American astronaut Captain Charles "Chuck" Baker who lands on Planet 51 thinking he's the first person to step foot there. To his surprise he finds that this planet is inhabited by little green people who are happily living in a white picket fence world, reminiscent of a cheerfully innocent 1950s America, and whose only fear is that it will be overrun by alien invaders...like Chuck! With the help of his robot companion "Rover", and his new friend Lem, Chuck must navigate his way through the dazzling, but bewildering, landscape of Planet 51 in order to escape becoming a permanent part of the Planet 51 Alien Invaders Space Museum.

This is one of those instances when playing the game itself is going to be just as much fun as watching the movie, only parents should remember how much effort the writers put into making it fun for them as well. So, to recap: Planet 51 is the tale of US astronaut Captain Charles "Chuck" Baker (Dwayne Johnson, The Scorpion King, Be Cool) who lands on Planet 51 thinking he's the first person to step foot on it. To his surprise, it's already inhabited by little green people who are happily living in a world reminiscent of a cheerfully innocent 1950's American. The film also features the voices of John Cleese, Gary Oldman and Seann William Scott. Will the game itself have the voice talent as well? We cannot confirm yet, but we'd like to think so. As the game itself is releasing before the film, (another content industry standard decision we've been noticing lately. ) We'll let you know as soon as we find out!
