While there are definitely some exceptions, games based on movies generally fall into the area somewhere between disappointing to downright awful. For every Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay (yes, I know this wasn’t taken directly from a movie), there seems to be dozens of Eragons or TMNTs. Every time I go to see a game based on whatever blockbuster film is about to come out, I have to prepare myself to be vastly underwhelmed. However, that’s not to say that there aren’t occasions when I’m pleasantly surprised by what I see.
