It's coming from Japan to the US. What's odd it it's coming to the hugest kids console known to mankind. The Nintendo Wii. One of the worlds creepiest, scariest movies is ported to be a playable game "just in time for Halloween", get your scare on with the Wii console system version of Ju-on: The Grudge! Rising Star Games has gone ahead and Rated it 16 or older (Japan's ESRB equivelant). You get to use your flashlight with the Wii remote in horrifying circumstances. The game claims that you need to keep control of your nerves as since the Wii system requires a steady hand anyway, any flinching or jumping will end up giving you a worsened score as a result. So depending on which point in the game you are at, the Wii remote will work a variety of different devices within the game. For the most part it appears to look like a challenge to keep your flashlight on (complete with battery life in the lower left) as you try to find out what's going on. Fear and shakes and mishandling a situation will lower your flashlight's battery life, and well, you won't pass a stage as a result. Interesting. Xseed Games and FeelPlus developers utilized real recordings in buildings and existing facilities to give that authentic soundtrack that will make you pop out of your seat. You are encouraged to try to play the game without being afraid and then challenge another member of your family to do the same and compare results… I can't wait!

Ju-on: The Grudge Walkthrough Strategy Guide for Nintendo Wii HERE!

As the specify suggests, Ju-On: The Grudge is based on the menacing Japanese film The Grudge, formed by Takashi Shimizu. You might have seen the Hollywood recreate that stars Sarah "Buffy" Michelle Gellar.  Shimizu will be a creative consultant and help members turn into the Yamada dynasty, who have to individually handle a grudge curse unintentionally placed in the lead them by their daughter who was exposed following a visit to an abandoned warehouse. As if creeping around dark and bloody landscapes with unexpected girls popping up in-front of your handle isn't bad enough, developer feelplus will permit acquaintances grab a trice Wiimote and thrust buttons to trigger in-game scares. The films - both Hollywood and primary - are pretty menacing. Ju-on: The Grudge Walkthrough, Ju On The Grudge Walk Through Strategy Game Guide (Wii), Ju-On: The Grudge Walkthru (Wii)

Believe that the Wii is the the largest part ideal console to occurence horror games and ongoing advancement of this title under that premise. If the Wii did not exist, I don't think that we would have eternally urban this gameplay experience. So if you hate the gameplay experience, you know who to blame: The Wii! It's been a rowdy week for Wii box knack, with two games - Sin & Punishment 2 and Ju-On: The Grudge - hitting the highest of highs and the lowest of lows. Ju-on: The Grudge Preview: Hush up All But One Of Your Wiimotes Technically, Ju-on isn't an on rails shooter - for the reason that you're excruciating stupid as a replacement for of on rails and as a replacement for of a gun, you contract a flashlight.  Ju-on: The Grudge Walkthrough (Nintendo Wii), Ju On The Grudge Walkthru Book, Ju-On: The Grudge Game Strategy Walkthrough

WHAT OTHERS ARE SAYING:
"This gameplay experience coudn't have been made on a few variant system"

Until it's ported to the wand and Natal with flashlight handbag, and sold cheaper than the Wii release on PSN and XBLA...  Despite what more or less citizens say, Survival horror has by no means relied on image representation to rigid the background. Environment is formed by the harmony, the horror is from creativity.  You don't hear citizens raving in the region of the image representation of Silent mount as an alternative or dweller mount (more the harmony, from more or less video I saw recently).

So... Folks of you proverb that the Wii couldn't probably accomplish horror well for the reason that it insists on not being graphically snooty, brainteaser me this: Why was Silent mount considered so overwhelming if horror is all in the region of the image representation???  Yahtzee even points out that SH (2, I think) -benefitted- from low-end image representation. It strained them to include a terrifing fog to hush up the low draw-distance.  It's too straightforward thinking like this (it's too low-powered, I -can't- accomplish whatever thing cool with it!) on the part of the developers that's caused the Wii to suck, not shortage of technical prowess

SH2 was overwhelming for the reason that of the story, not the graphics as an alternative or "scare" thing (though the overused (now) Pyramid leader did leave a lasting impression). SH3 looks better than many 360 and PS3 games, and in point of fact scared me more than SH2, but SH2 was snooty for the reason that of the story...  If SH2 had a better voice acting group, better VA director, and 360 / PS3 level graphics, it would be heaven...

As an alternative or... Something... Dweller atrocious 4 on the Wii is probably the preeminent horror gameplay experience that has existed. And that's one of the the minority gaming opinions that a greater part of reviewers be consistent with with me on.   With regard to 4 isn't menacing in the slightest. Dead Space...In half a shake that is a menacing gameplay experience. Ah rebuff I'd say dweller atrocious 4 on Wii is one of the preeminent fighting games that exists. It admittedly isn't in the region of horror anymore. Dead Space isn't even the least bit menacing...

Pitch Angels makes all these games look like Peggle. I defy you to play it! Retorting this, I think the awfully looking to the fore to this. Fussy to set eyes on theres a bunch of idiots yapping in the region of waggle in front of the box. Idiots To be comprehensible, i think the Wii is what brought developers to amicable up to and discovery many brand new ideas.

If you admittedly think in the region of it, Nintendo has forever been a step forward. It can n Ju-on: The Grudge Walkthrough, Ju On The Grudge Walkthru Book, (Nintendo Wii) Ju-On: The Grudge Game Strategy Walkthrough

ot be machinery judicious, but for the gaming industry to evolve and to swell the players. So in my view the broadcast with horror games is that they benefit greatly from environment that can be better achieved from a orderliness with advanced image representation. Thats not to say the wii cant accomplish horror but for model take something like dead space wherever the trifling things prepare a worthy amount of the environment , particle possessions in more or less of the landscapes and the like, currently wherever considering titles surrounded by this genre that are taking more and more gain from the beyond power in consoles,an alternative celebrated model is alan wake, a gameplay experience which (according to developers) will have a massive alight to explore, and additionally have environmental possessions like tornadoes , that gameplay experience surely remuneration from a console as an alternative or a pc with more graphical and handing out power than the wii. I call BS on this argument. Deadspace did agreed virtualy nothing at all to me, but Silent mount 2, which I enjoyed in can of this time, scared the shit out of me. Ju-on: The Grudge Walkthrough, Ju On The Grudge Game Help Walkthru, Ju-On: The Grudge Walkthrough Strategy Guide (Nintendo Wii)

Image representation can be notable, but if the gameplay experience is rightly menacing, the outward show won't be much of an broadcast. Ultimately right. Citizens can still be scared of the primary dweller atrocious. Well environment is more dependant on whether as an alternative or not a gameplay experience has expert knack direction than how many physics are at employment. Silent mount for PSX is still dripping with environment (literally & metaphorically) and is still a awfully riveting & frightening occurence despite it being a decade old. I'm not disagreeing that you agreed need these, im proverb that i don't completely be consistent with with what Mr. Makato is proverb. If you were to agreed need a 360 as an alternative or ps3 image representation to prepare a horror gameplay experience it follows that there would have been rebuff horror games ahead of this generation. Im proverb that horror games can benefit from better image representation and more handing out power for the reason that of the nature of the narrative in many horror games which thresher storytelling with a environment, level design and notify (where the image representation turn up in). By rebuff channel im i proverb that horror games cannot need to on the wii as an alternative or that horror games ahead of this generation were rebuff expert. Im sure thing there are developers out there who have a the budding create celebrated horror games in the wii, for model the impending silent mount: Shattered memories. Rebuff. Rebuff they can not. The quandary I had with Deadspace WAS the image representation. Everything was so comprehensible and cut back. There was rebuff caper to a few trace of it. Even with how dark the gameplay experience was, you may well still set eyes on through everything for the reason that it was so graphically far ahead. That's an alternative intelligence why I'm looking to the fore to the Wii Rails shooter release. As it comes to survival horror, I'd rather a graphical downgrade for the reason that it makes things seem grittier and have a more weird feel to them.

All of this assumed, I accomplish contradict myself, for the reason that I am admittedly looking to the fore to Shattered Memories. Oh no problem. No problem they can. Ok it follows that dweller atrocious 2 it follows that. Well i speculate we have to disagree on the image representation part but apart from there have celebrated games on forgotten consoles .Silent mount 1,2,3,re0, re(gc) ,re2,re3,re4,doom 3, folks are more or less of the ones i enjoyed so i acknowledge there are celebrated games in forgotten consoles but all im proverb is that horror games can benefit from graphical power and handing out power. Silent mount 2 is a classic and you have to remember that folks image representation were top of the line back as the gameplay experience was released.  Ju-on: The Grudge Walkthrough (Nintendo Wii), Ju-On: The Grudge Video Game Walkthrough, Ju-On: The Grudge Strategy Guide (Wii)

I accomplish be consistent with with the image representation statement. That assumed Dead Space is not survival horror. It's an fighting gameplay experience with a horror setting like Doom 3. I mean there are checkpoints at the start of each space!! Suvival horror games permit you save from time to time and try to discourage you from saving. That way there is a existing hazard and trepidation of dieing. Dead Space would have been celebrated if you may well disable the checkpoints and in the past few minutes play with the save points as a replacement for as an alternative or at least contract a fussy scare from the voice acting! "Its a weapon, It's admittedly powerful, ultimately adjacent to LIVING things"

While the primary with regard to is amazing, the recreate is scareyer and more immersive due to the advanced essence image representation and far better voice acting (and, thank god, principally intact control scheme) At the time, no problem Silent mount 2 image representation were top of the line. But not in half a shake. I was once a fearful result who couldn't play it. I have since evolved and am rebuff more troubled of the dark... Well, wasn't until Silent mount 2, which I did not play until this time, so the image representation were far from top of the line. That's why I used it in my argument. Retort To all his own. I enjoyed Deadspace, and am not proverb it isn't a expert gameplay experience, so we'll be consistent with to disagree. You know, years of movies and games have educated me that the scariest gadget isn't graphics as an alternative or shortage of. - it's the audio. With that in mind I forever said that PC was the preeminent suited towards horror with(as of now) Sony consoles due to the snooty audio advantages obtainable....But hey I'm a audio whore. Audio is what made Dead Space such an superb horror gameplay experience. I think more or less of the citizens getting upset here at that previous line are missing the tongue-in-cheek part of it. Its like proverb "its clearly not the fault of the gameplay experience, duhr, if you hate it, its clearly the Wii". Having enjoyed this gameplay experience to completion, I can with certainty say that they are 100% right. The controls are FLAWLESS and the environment is creepy. Basically, you feel like you're in the gameplay experience. The flashlight battery workings constantly keep you on your toes and though the scares are monotonous, they will scare you, not including fail, 90% of the time.  Ju-on: The Grudge Walkthrough (Wii), Ju On The Grudge Game Walk Through, Ju-On: The Grudge Walkthru and Strategy

I couldn't imagine this gameplay experience being replicated on an alternative console right in half a shake (maybe the PS3 with the Sony Wand thingy), there's in the past few minutes a altered feeling in performance with a controller than there is in performance with a remote wherever your schedule are basically replicated on screen. Gratitude for the optimistic impression. It in point of fact makes me interested in this gameplay experience.

Kind of contradictory, but whatever. I'm looking to the fore to this gameplay experience and a few expert word in the region of it merely helps my anticipation grow. 90% of the time it facility all the time.. Lol. How in the region of the sony movement wand? And arent they proverb this in the past few minutes cause the Wiimote acts like a spiritual successor to a flashlight?

Ixnay on the Sony movement Wand. Its an other instance of hardware that needs to be purchased, like so limiting the quantity of software that will be urban for it, like so limiting its accomplishment. Its kinda doomed to fail ahead of its even out the exit. Natal shows a trace more imply, but merely for the reason that Microsoft in the main knows how to lob money at a quandary until it isn't a quandary anymore. Still, I have my doubts.

The Wiimote, with that said, is sold with each orderliness and is the merely 'controller' obtainable. In answer to your trice impression, probably, yeh. That, and you don't need the image representation to prepare a menacing gameplay experience. First person adventure/survival horrors can be made pretty awesomely with a little financial statement, wiimote as an alternative or not. Dark Fall for the PC being a prime model of a 2003 gameplay experience that ran on 1995 hardware and was pretty engaging. What if software and hardware were packaged in sync a la pitch stripe

It might employment for a admittedly amazing horror gameplay experience though. But the low sales of each edition of Time calamity packaged with a gun speaks, sadly, otherwise. Not forgetting that the previous Time calamity was awfully poorly, with that said I think the Wii is the ideal place for Horror games like this, the wiimote is a finished flashlight as an alternative or camera gadget.

The trick is building a gameplay experience around it, I haven't enjoyed JU-ON so I can not say....But if a developer is willing to contract in all the nooks and crannies that the Wii is clever of. They can prepare more or less admittedly horror games. With that said with Natal and the Sony wand on the horizon...

We'll in the past few minutes have to set eyes on... The Fatal Frame games on the PS2 were masses menacing not including waggle. The look of this gameplay experience reminds me of PS3's distress signal. OMG! Kirie + Shibito + Sony movement Wand = Ultimate Survival Horror! What? Does not this gameplay experience use....The IR sensor for pointing? Thats not waggle you know. God. "Waggle is the appear in of waving as an alternative or shaking a controller at random and with rebuff existing direction as an alternative or pattern... With that said, it's now and again used to illustrate movement controls in general." I prospect to god it's not an alternative crappy rail shooter like Umbrella records. From what i've seen, its not. It's a first person happening of more or less sort. Seem to focus on collecting clues and flashlight batteries. Almost silent mount like, in that you set eyes on a ton of general creepiness combined with jump-style scares.
