This precise WALKTHROUGH GAME STRATEGY GUIDE is/will be available for you right in your members area and compatable or the Nintendo Wii, SONY PS3, and Microsoft XBOX 360 platform.
Guitar Hero: Aerosmith handles exactly how you'd expect it to if you're familiar with Guitar Hero III. It runs on the same basic engine, though we're told a few minor tweaks have been made. This is a standalone game, though. No downloadable tracks you may have acquired for Guitar Hero III will work here and there won't be any DLC made available for this game. What you get on the disc is it.
Guitar Hero III's gameplay is intact for this release. But what you get on the disc is pretty substantial for a quick one-off. If you enjoy that Guitar Hero III gameplay and are looking for some new songs to add into the rotation, Aerosmith may be up your alley. Well, it may be if you're a fan of the Boston rockers. In addition to the game, Aerosmith offers up some video interviews and behind the scenes info that fans will likely enjoy. What's more, three out of every five tunes in each set list are penned by Tyler and company. Additionally, you'll find one cover and one master track by other bands that have either inspired Aerosmith or are liked by the band. To date, 25 tracks for Aerosmith have been revealed. Here they are, along with the venues that they appear in. Those that have a * notation are covers.
Classic Tyler on stage.I took a stroll through more than half of these tracks at a recent hands-on event and found a few songs that every Aerosmith fan can get behind. The highlight, of course, is Walk This Way with Run DMC. DMC, incidentally, is a playable character in Guitar Hero: Aerosmith. This is cool, though if you choose to play as him on "King of Rock" you'll find two of the venerable rappers on stage at once. "Beyond Beautiful" was the big surprise. I had written it off thanks to its status as a Just Push Play track, but found a fun and challenging solo.
Guitar Hero: Aerosmith doesn't exactly break the mold. If you're tired of the Guitar Hero formula, you won't find anything new to invigorate your interest. But if you're like the thousands and thousands of others that can't get enough of the franchise (sales figures don't lie!), then get ready for more, courtesy of the Toxic Twins.
