So Nintendo has the number one selling handheld and console. People still are having problems finding Wii's in stores. Nintendo gets to add another notch to their belt, the two best selling games in April are Pokemon Diamond and Pokemon Pearl. Combined sales for the two are around 1.75 million units.
"Nothing is more valuable in the entertainment world than an evergreen
franchise," says Reggie Fils-Aime, president and COO, Nintendo of America. "These new Pokemon titles have cemented their place alongside the most enduring intellectual properties of the book, music and movie industries. And that appeal will expand even further with the introduction of Pokemon(R) Battle Revolution to our Wii home console next month."
I know some members here are addicted to their Pokemon. I just started mine and hope to delve more this weekend. The good news doesn't stop for Nintendo. With upcoming releases of Mario Party 8 and Pokemon Battle Revolution, Nintendo may continue their stay on top.
